CaseSteam > This is our 1917 60HP Case. This picture was taken when we purchased it. It was sitting at the Agriculture Museum in Austin Mannitoba. (October 2004) It was shipped to Heritage Park - Forest City Iowa, where it was stored until we could get it back to Kansas.

CaseSteam > We've spent the past two weekends power washing and scraping old thick grease and oil off the engine and washing out the boiler. Today we started removing the bunkers - the sections that hold the fuel have been removed - the remaing section (under the frame) is the water bunker.
CaseSteam > The bunkers came off today - It really helps to have big equipment around to do the heavy lifting. Getting these out of the way gives us a lot more room to clean things up and get ready to start painting soon. The bunkers are going to take some work - but they will be one of the last things to go back on.
CaseSteam > It's looking a little bare on top today. We removed the Governor, Throttle, Throttle linkage and main valve off of the steam dome. Everything will get cleaned up and given a new paint job. We also removed all the plumbing, the water column and all the fittings.
